The Modular Unit for Transport (MUT) project included the research, design, and prototyping of an innovative system used for hiking and hunting in the wilderness. The MUT includes the capability of interchangeable and removable pockets, gear and load re-distribution, and body loading re-configuration, the MUT provides today’s hiker and hunter with an economical replacement of several smaller and larger backpacks. Complete CAD models were created to assist in the iterative design process, and quantitative analysis was conducted on the frame members to optimize design and location throughout the structure.

As part of my college career I worked as a systems/mechanical engineer on joint satellite initiative.  The Emerald Nano-satelltes were to be the first of series of joint work between universities, the commercial satellite industry and AFRL/NASA.  On the university side Emerald was the combined work of Stanford and Santa Clara University.  Emerald was to be a testbed for five distinct experiments: 1) VLF Atmospheric Science
