It Begins

Upon giving out my web address I'm immediately asked what 'daibew' means. Daibew is first, an alternate spelling to the more popular "debut." Daibew is second, the tagging moniker and street name for my childhood friend Raymond. Conversations with Raymond circled round the philosophical and the dreams of unveiling creation. Daibew is, according to wikitionary, "A person’s or thing’s first appearance before society or another audience; one’s 'maiden voyage'."  Daibew is, to me, a reminder of my roots in the "barrio" just outside downtown San Jose where I became street wise and learned the beauty of diversity.  Daibew is, to me, the notion of the continual opportunity to choose a new path in life.  Daibew is, to me, the belief that we are always on the verge of breakthrough.
